Doubt threshold

The doubt threshold is the confidence level below which a decision engine refuses to rule and escalates the question to a human rather than guessing.
At StructureClerk that threshold is 0.90. Below it, whatever answer the rules produced, the decision becomes an escalation, and the reason is stated explicitly in the response.
It is the primitive compliance products avoid, because it admits a limit. It is nonetheless the most useful one: a system that always answers something teaches nobody when it does not know.
An unknown action type triggers the same behaviour. The absence of a rule is never read as permission.
What it means for a small business
For a founder it is the criterion that makes the tool trustworthy: knowing it will stay silent rather than invent is worth more than a high coverage rate.
